An independent repair service for high-end kitchens
Sub-Zero Appliance Experts is an independent repair service based in North Hollywood. We work on the built-in and high-end appliances found in many Los Angeles kitchens: Sub-Zero refrigerators, freezers and wine storage, along with Viking ranges and outdoor grills, Wolf cooktops, wall ovens and warming drawers, and Thermador dishwashers and range hoods. These machines are built differently from mass-market models, with sealed systems, dual compressors, electronic controls and custom panels that take patience to service correctly. Our approach is simple. We start with a diagnosis, explain what we found, and lay out your options before any repair begins. If a part has to be ordered, we tell you so and why. If repair doesn't make sense for an older unit, we say that too. We aren't affiliated with or endorsed by any manufacturer, which lets us give you a straight answer about the appliance in front of us. Our goal is to get your kitchen working again with as little disruption as possible.

Do you also repair Viking, Wolf and Thermador appliances?
Yes. Sub-Zero is our main focus, but we also repair Viking, Wolf and Thermador appliances, including ranges, cooktops, wall ovens, dishwashers, range hoods, warming drawers, microwave drawers and outdoor grills.
Are you affiliated with Sub-Zero or the other brands?
No. We are an independent repair service and are not affiliated with or endorsed by Sub-Zero, Viking, Wolf, Thermador or any other manufacturer.
What should I have ready before I contact you?
The model and serial number help the most. On most Sub-Zero refrigerators, the tag is inside near the top of the fresh-food section or behind the grille. Also note what the appliance is doing, any error codes or lights, and when the problem started.
My Sub-Zero refrigerator isn't cooling. Is there anything I can check first?
Make sure the unit has power, the temperature settings haven't been changed, and nothing is blocking the vents inside. A dusty condenser at the top or bottom grille can also reduce cooling. If those look fine, it's time for a diagnosis.
Does hot weather affect my refrigerator or freezer?
It can. Valley neighborhoods run much hotter in summer than areas near the coast, and fall Santa Ana winds can bring hot, dry spells. Refrigerators, freezers and wine coolers work harder in that heat, so a weak component often shows up then.
Is it worth repairing an older built-in appliance?
Often it is, because built-in units are designed to fit custom cabinetry and replacements can mean remodeling work. That said, it depends on the fault and the unit's condition. We'll give you an honest view after the diagnosis.
Do you repair outdoor grills?
Yes. We work on outdoor grills, including ignition, burner and gas-flow problems, along with the indoor appliances in your kitchen.
